Bidding

When you find a property you would like to be considered for, you need to express an interest by placing a bid. Although the term bidding is used, no money is involved. You can bid for up to three properties each week. You can only bid for properties that are suitable for your household. When you register with Herts Choice Homes we will write to tell you the properties you are eligible for.

Making your bid on the internet
On this website using your unique Herts Choice Homes number and your date of birth. Simply log in at the top right hand side and follow the instructions on screen.

You can download the weekly Herts Choice Homes property list from this website as well as place your bids here online.

You can bid for three properties (as long as you are eligible for them) in the weekly cycle. For example, if you are eligible for a two bed property and there is a two bed house and 2 two bed flats advertised, you can choose to bid for all 3 properties.

Properties are advertised in a property list called Herts Choice Homes available on this website.

The bidding cycle runs from 9.00am Friday to Tuesday at 12 noon each week. Your bids must reach us by Tuesday at 12.00 noon to be considered. The adverts give you information about each property available for letting and a photograph will be included if available.

Free internet access is available at many locations across the boroughs. If you need help to find and use the website please ask at these locations. The libraries all have different opening times - please call to check.
